How to ensure a stronger immune system for your kid?

Kids are commonly known to have a much weaker immune system than adults. But what are some of the healthy habits that we should instil in kids so we can boost their immune system? 

Although we cannot control every cold that comes along, we can help to reduce the risk of getting illnesses by changing the diets of our children to help the build a stronger immune system.

Surely, strengthening our immune system is not just having a healthy diet but exercising regularly and getting adequate amount of sleep can also play an important role too!

Kids should engage in at least 60 to 90 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity per day.  Such activities can include going to the playground to play, or playing ball games or going for swimming or gymnastic lessons.

Sleeping hours differ in number as your kid grows older. For children age 6 to 13 years, they require around 9 to 11 hours of sleep every day. But for new-borns, they will require 14 to 17 hours of sleep per day. Having adequate amount of sleep can help one to be able to produce cytokines that can help to counter with infection or inflammation.
